The Pandemic Photo Exhibition is open to submissions from professional and amateur photographers. If you have a photo that uniquely captures a moment of COVID-19 or any of the other Global events of the last 2 and half year.
The Glasgow Gallery of Photography wants to put on a 3 and a half weeks exhibitions that documents the Pandemic in our upper gallery from September 3rd until September 24th
The galleries mission statement is to advance the arts, heritage and cultural sector through exhibitions of photographic works as a means for artistic, community and personal expression, by providing affordable and relevant workshops and activities rooted in teaching and exhibiting photography.
To promote equality and diversity by providing facilities and services with the aim of benefitting the diverse range of our returning and anticipated participants, and providing agency to groups who are underrepresented.
To advance citizenship and community development by promoting the production and appreciation of photography to communities in Glasgow and wider Scotland, as well as international participants and providing the Glasgow gallery of photography as a space that will deliver community resources and programmes of educational events.
The Pandemic Photography exhibition will be the first of its kind to take place in Glasgow since restrictions eased, giving the general public the chance to look back and reflect on the pandemic and the global turmoil it created.
How to Submit and Participate
Submission for this exhibition is free and only if your image(s) are selected will you be given the chance to pay the participation fee of £35.00
We will print and install and de-install the work in in the gallery, The work may be framed, however we may decide to hang the images frame free, as this will allow more freedom to print the images in various sizes in a salon style, this will be decided when curating the exhibition.
The deadline for this exhibition is 20th August 2022
STEP 1: Choose up to 10 images that are 300ppi (If they are not 300ppi you will be asked to resubmit)
and 3000 Pixels minimum on the shortest side. Work will be displayed various sizes and we need good file sizes to get the best out of your image.
STEP 2: Name your image file. JohnSmith1.jpeg etc (If you do not name your images correctly they could be lost or misplaced and delay the exhibition, please only use your name, do not include image titles or any other information)
STEP 3: Make sure your image is a JPEG, we can only except jpegs as this is what the printing company that we use requires.
STEP 4: Send us your 1 to 10 jpegs via Wetransfer/Dropbox to firstname.lastname@example.org
Please tell us your name and nationality (these will be displayed along with your selected images.

What happens Next
Once the deadline has passed, we will contact you if you have been successful and send you a payment link. Once we receive your payment we will send your work to print, once we receive it from the printer we will install your work and exhibit it for the duration of the show.
